@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw No matter how good these might be, when Hickman makes as big of a blunder project as his X-Men were within main continuity (running from 2019 to 2024 out of which he was around from 2019-2021 at most), it's extremely and laughably bad on top of being expensive which this new project will also be. If we were to overlook the Aliens Vs Avengers crossover which is not even canon and even his Wolverine: Revenge for the same reason, Secret Wars was nearly 10 years ago and both the world and Marvel's editorial were very different back then compared to now, which makes his all-new project even more at risk from both the publisher and his own flaws as a writer, for which he has many.
What made things worse though and why I even brought up X-Men to begin with on this video about Hickman's new project is that, not only is it a big project of his in main continuity and recent : During Krakoa, years after Hickman jumped ships mind you, he helped in writing a Hellfire Gala issue... Just so he could introduce his all new G.O.D.S. project in it.
The very ship he personally crashed was used by him as a crutch for his new book.
That's the kind of nerve most deserving of remaining indifferent to what he does.

But X-Men, that magic series, and his Ultimate universe have been such massive disappointments for me. One of the hardest lessons I've learned in fandom in general is that people age and change. I'm just going to keep reading quality back issues. And miniseries, but yeah, the new ultimate universe by Hickman is alright, just really slow. I hated his 2015 secret wars, nothing, and I mean nothing will top the 1983 classic. Just reread Earth x yesterday

Really? If you've read his Avengers/New Avengers run, then you'd know that everything in those 2 books was all leading up to Secret wars (2015),which makes the reading experience great as you finally see everything all come to fruition

@MatthewLoh-ru1mw I hear you. And I read all of that. But I still prefer the 1983 version.....I'm not really a fan of all the rehashed stories or sequels with a "twist" it's goofy at this point both marvel and dc do it. When I read comics I build my own personal favorite collection of stories. I most read the stories from the past. Because current day "modern" isn't it. Lol 😆 😆 aside from a few miniseries

His FF, Incursions and Secret War 2015 was pretty good. While is G.O.D.S run started interesting (with his/Marvel's version of Constantine) but his redesigns for the entities r mostly awful (almost felt like al ewing wrote G.O.D.S. run). His start on Krakoa was good, but when he left Marvel turned into shit real quick.

No thanks. Hickman’s writing is best left to writing original sci-fi/fantasy novels. His style isn’t suited for comics. House/Powers of X gave me migraines and I really don’t know what the hell I read.

I think you've hit the nail on the head for me. He does have talent, but it's better suited to other medium. He tried to turn X-men into a crazy world building sci-fi, and is now turning Spiderman into some indy movie mumblecore.
I've yet to see him write good superhero action.

@gavsmi6452 the dresses part was by Duggan and Tini Howard, NOT Hickman! As for the "Jean/Scott/Logan" throuple part, I'm not sure what Hickman was going to do with that as he departed the X-books before he can explain THAT one.

That's a grave insult to Grant Morrison. Pre 2000 Morrison was all time great tier. Peak Hickman and 2015 Morrison (after he jumped the shark) is a more fair comparison. Current Hickman and current Morrison - both bad and overly convoluted.
